Well, winter stationary life is over. In preparation for the 2024 travel season, we have returned to our home base to take care of business. It was always the plan. Now, with a few added issues.
Our annual smog and registration renewal on the RV is due.
Wolf left his glasses on the roof of our minivan and remembered when we were a couple of miles down the road. We went back but couldn’t find them. A trip to the eye doctor is now on the list.
I noticed a small bump on Lightning’s backside. After a quick drive to our home vet 100 miles away, he said it was a small tumor, and she needed surgery. The vet will be on vacation during our planned week back. So, we checked out of our winter spot thirty days early and returned to Vegas.

Another item on the list is to clean out the motorhome of all our winter items and extra items I took from our home base while we were not traveling.
Our minivan is acting up. I think it has a transmission issue. It needs a smog and registration renewal as well. We don’t travel with it, and it stays parked at my son’s house during the summer. I’m unsure if I want to deal with it this time or wait until next year.
We’ve had many mishaps and unplanned things in the last few weeks. That’s life, and it’s things that happen in RV life. We just roll with it.
Returning to home base for two weeks was always the plan. We have a camp spot reserved for the end of March. We had to move everything up a couple of weeks. I looked to change the dates; however, the campground is all booked.
Fortunately, We have my son’s place to land for these last-minute changes. It does give us the opportunity to see family and my grand pups.

Sasha loves coming to what is home to her. When we adopted Sasha, this was our house. Of course, she gets to run around the backyard and hang with her best friend, my other grand pup, Hera.

I miss sleeping in our tiny home on wheels. We have a room in the house with our bed and items we keep here, but I have come to love my life in the RV. It’s home.
I’m excited to start our second year of travel, and I have a tentative plan. We’ll see how it goes. The main factor is the weather. It’s always a concern when traveling. It is for us, anyway. When you have dogs that need to go outside for restroom business, the weather is an issue.
Short this week. I have a lot to do and I am NOT a type A personality. So, I take it slow 🐌. It’s my life my way and that’s okay.
Until next week, Teresa for PetsLifeAdventure 🐕 🚐 🏞
