RV Life Down Time

We’ve been at our home base for about three weeks. It’s been great to spend time with my kids and friends.

We got some much-needed replacement items on the motorhome. And we bought new rear brake pads, and when they pulled the wheels off and inspected the rotors, we could see they looked brand new. Apparently, the mechanic didn’t bleed the brakes and our front end has taken the brunt of stopping

Well, that news made my heart pound a little faster for a minute. We did go up and down a few steep mountains. Eeks! So, I am off to return the not-used brake pads to the auto store.

We leave this weekend back to the road. It feels like we are back to our launch date. To learn how to do this all over again. I have to put the rig back into travel mode. Plan out meals for food, the pantry is empty, have all the laundry done while I have use of a washer and dryer (I do miss having them), and make sure everything we bring into the house makes it back into the motorhome.

And just like that, we are still in the area, but it feels like we are home again.

One takeaway from our first six months on the road. We love it and couldn’t wait to return to our motorhome and RV life.

Do you take downtime off the road? Were you anxious about getting back to RV life? Let me know in the comments below.

Thanks for giving this a read.

Have a great week!
