To date, our favorite stay during our travels.

I have mentioned Tillicum Beach several times in my posts. Our stay there was a last-minute decision, first come, first serve spot at one of the most popular campsites along the Oregon Coastline.
I mean, we lucked out and snagged a great spot! When we arrived, the camp host met us at the entrance. She was so lovely, and she sensed my excitement when I asked about availability. She gave us a couple of options; the first one we were too big. The second one is perfect. It was an end spot and a pretty secluded area.
We could stay a maximum of 14 days, and I took it. As we discovered during our stay, we had a coveted spot. People were checking our leave date almost every day. They were hoping we were checking out during their stay. Sorry. (Not sorry.)
What I love most about RV life is the location. I wanted to live at the beach, and we did for a month.
We enjoyed our time here so much because of our dogs. Traveling with three not-so-friendly dogs can be challenging. Here, they could be dogs. They spent much-needed time outside, went for long walks, and were secluded just enough not to cause their usual chaos with barking.
Every day, Wolf and Sasha took their walk down to the beach. Sasha could go off-leash and chase her ball. This dog lives to chase her ball!
I would follow up with the little ones shortly after for their beach time. Now, in the past, as soon as Lightning heard the sound of the waves crashing, she would hit the brakes and not move. At Tillicum, the tide was out far enough mid-morning that she had no problem with it. I think she enjoyed it. She knew exactly where we were going, down the steps and over the rocks.

Listening to the waves at night was calming. I slept great.
We had been on the road for about a month when we landed here, and It was this place where RV life was real. To have this opportunity to live a life on the road was a long, hard, often unreal dream come true. I gave up several times but never lost the “I wish I could…”.
I am grateful every day.
The Oregon Coastline combines beach, forest, and coastal towns on cliffsides. We did wander back to the coastline in August, and it was packed with people. I am so glad we went in May. It was still busy but not as overcrowded.
Tillicum Beach is popular, but not many know about it outside Oregon; with unobstructed views to watch stunning sunsets, pictures can’t do it justice.

Have you been to Tillicum Beach? If not, I suggest you add it to your travel plans.
Thanks for checking in and taking the time to read. I appreciate YOU!
Fall is finally here. I am excited to explore more and make our winter travel plans. I don’t do snow, so we’ll keep it in the southern states.
Until next week, happy travels. 😊
